Aged coffins found in Khammouane

(KPL) Authorities found five aged coffins in Mahasay village, same name district, Khammouan province on Jan 17.
The coffins look much like tree roots and pig’s trough and they are located on highland, around 100 m above the ground level, according to Mr. Thi, villager of Phonsa-ad, who first found the coffins.
Once informed by Mr. Thi, village authorities went to the scene and later knew that there are five coffins in the area and each is 2.40 cm long, 40 cm with and 15 cm deep.
Deputy Head of the Provincial Information and Culture Division of Khammouane Mr. Chathavong Douangmany and relevant officials went to the site but they have been yet to be able to estimate how old the coffins are.
