Four parties donate 7 billion kip for Nock-ten victims
(KPL) Canada, the Republic of Korea, AusAid and World Vision Australia have provided over 7 billion kip to the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare to spend on recovery effort for Nock-ten Flood Victims in the country.
The project is reportedly to help over 200,000 people who have been affected from Nock-ten in over 500 villages of Borlikhamsay, Champassack, Khammouane and Savannakhet provinces.
Signatories to the agreement on a grant for the six-month project were Head of Social Welfares Department of Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare Mr. Prasit Dethphommathet and Representative of World Vision in Laos Acting Country Director Mr. Edou Muhima.
